E.C. Education Center
The Emmanuel Center Education Center is a separate facility that will benefit the
children of the Emmanuel Center and future centers.
The EC Education Center will help reach children who CANNOT enter into normal schools
because of age or because of a current learning challenge that they may have. This
center will staff an educated and quality staff that will help reintegrate these
children into normal schools, and for those who cannot eventually reintegrate it
will assist them until they finish their schooling.
Every child deserves the right to learn to read and write, and with out those tools
their lives will have no future. We are trying to not only meet the emotional needs
and the physical needs of these boys. Also to build them up so that they grow and
succeed in this society.
We at the Emmanuel Center currently reach over 25 boys. We have 22 living at the
center. There are still hundreds of street children in this region of our country.
We would like to open another center in the following year. Opening this center
will give us a strong foundation in the future for developing a base to MOST EFFECTIVELY
reach these boys and make a lasting impact.
The E.C. Education Center will help tutor those boys who are in government schools
and private schools. It will become a school to boys who have never been or need
an alternative schooling plan.
Rent for the E.C. Ed Center is going to cost: $2000 per year
Phase one: $5,000.00 (ONE TIME COST)
The center will need some investments to get it suitable for teaching and to build
a safe environment so that our things do not get stolen. (This is a must for every
project you build here in Africa). This amount, will cover some one time fees such
as fixing, repairing, planting, security and locks, electricity, set up cost for
offices, etc.)
Phase two: $3,500 (ONE TIME COST)
This cost will cover desks, chalkboards, setting up and supplying the school with
all the furniture that it will need.
Phase four: $15,000 (ONE time cost) a vehicle for the school to commute children
from future centers and to be used in the alternative educating system.
We will be able to start this project as soon as phase one and two are met and we
have all children sponsored. This site will be updated weekly so that you may see
exactly where we are with our sponsorship program.
We aim to start the end of July 2007.
