Cafe Hope

Cafe Hope is an outreach led by Buddy and Taryn Raschdorf in Konstanz, Germany. They help bringing the love of Christ to refugees from across the world through food, games, music, and the Gospel.

Five refugee centers. Dozens of nations represented. One open door.

Konstanz, Germany is home to refugees from Syria, Iraq, Kurdistan, Iran, Afghanistan, Georgia, Somalia, Nigeria, Senegal, Algeria, Turkey, and Ukraine - all living across five different refugee centers. Buddy and Taryn Raschdorf saw an opportunity and answered it with Cafe Hope.

Cafe Hope is their biggest outreach to the Konstanz refugee community. Families, couples, and single men and women gather for food and drinks, games, and crafts for the children. The Gospel is presented through testimony, drama, music, and dance. What begins at Cafe Hope becomes the foundation for ongoing Bible study and discipleship.

The refugees who come carry stories of trauma and loss, but they also bring extraordinary resilience, hospitality, and a willingness to share what little they have. The Raschdorfs count it a privilege to walk alongside them as they rebuild their lives in a new country.

Monthly costs to run Cafe Hope total $410, covering food, drinks, arts and crafts, and a storage unit. One-time purchases costs total $841, including speakers, sports equipment, and more.
