Cadaniño (Every Child)

Cadaniño (Every Child) is a Christ-centered ministry serving vulnerable children and families in Guatemala through holistic Community Impact Centers. Led by Timothy and Sharie Martiny, the ministry combines discipleship, education, family strengthening, and leadership development through after-school programs that help children discover, embrace, and cultivate their God-given gifts while equipping local leaders to bring lasting transformation to their communities.

Bringing Hope to Vulnerable Children and Families Through Christ

Since 2002, Timothy and Sharie Martiny have served as missionaries in Guatemala, where they raised their six children and have dedicated their lives to sharing the hope of Jesus Christ among vulnerable children and families. In 2016, they founded Cadaniño, a Christ-centered ministry that equips children, strengthens families, and develops future leaders through holistic community outreach.



Through FIRE International, supporters partner directly in this ministry, helping provide life-changing opportunities for children living in some of Guatemala’s most vulnerable communities.

The Ministry

Cadaniño Community Impact Centers

Cadaniño operates two Community Impact Centers located in Colonia Santa Fe and San José Pinula, where more than 240 children from nearly 180 families currently receive year-round support.


Rather than simply meeting immediate needs, Cadaniño works to transform lives through long-term relationships centered on the Gospel. Every aspect of the ministry is designed to help children discover, embrace, and cultivate their God-given gifts while strengthening their families and communities.

  • Family Strengthening.

The Ministry

Equipping Children for Life

Students attend the centers several afternoons each week where they receive:


  • Bible classes and discipleship
  • Academic tutoring and homework support
  • Computer education and digital literacy
  • STEM and robotics education
  • Reading and literacy development
  • Leadership training
  • Healthy meals and nutritional support


Children are encouraged not only to succeed academically but to grow into Christ-centered leaders who serve others with compassion, integrity, and purpose.

Raising the Next Generation of Christian Leaders

One of Cadaniño’s greatest priorities is developing young people who will impact their own communities for Christ. Through youth discipleship, leadership development, Bible teaching opportunities, and service projects, students learn to share their faith, lead others, and serve both within Cadaniño and throughout their communities. Many former students now volunteer, mentor younger children, and actively serve in local churches and outreach ministries.

Investing in Local Leadership

Lasting transformation happens through local leaders. Cadaniño intentionally recruits, trains, disciples, and equips Guatemalan teachers, coordinators, and ministry leaders who faithfully serve children and families every day. These staff members are educators, mentors, pastors, and role models who build lasting relationships within their own communities. By investing in local leadership, the ministry creates sustainable, long-term impact that extends far beyond the classroom.

Strengthening Families

Healthy children are built within healthy families. Throughout the year, Cadaniño staff regularly visit homes, pray with parents, provide counseling and encouragement, distribute food assistance during times of crisis, and host family workshops and community events designed to strengthen relationships and build resilient households. The ministry’s goal is not simply to care for children—but to help entire families flourish.

Community Transformation

What began more than twenty years ago as Bible and English classes has grown into a comprehensive community ministry serving hundreds of children and families every year. The ministry also partners with churches, universities, businesses, and mission teams from around the world, creating opportunities for believers to serve alongside Guatemalan leaders in making a lasting difference.

Cadaniño is a Christian nonprofit running afterschool programs for vulnerable children across Guatemala. We operate two Community Impact Centers located in Colonia Santa Fe and San José Pinula, serving more than 250 students, and their families, each year. Our holistic model is built on three pillars: Spiritual Formation, Academic Reinforcement, and Family Strengthening.


Children attend our programs in the afternoons receiving: Bible training teaching them to grow in faith and character, computer classes that build digital literacy and STEM skills and tutoring and academic support to help students thrive in school.


We are deeply committed to raising up young leaders grounded in their faith. Through our discipleship and youth missions’ clubs, students are mentored, trained, and equipped to teach the Word of God to others. Many have gone on to lead Bible classes for younger children, share their testimonies, and serve in their communities - living out their faith with boldness and purpose.


At the heart of our ministry is a deep investment in local leadership. We hire, train, equip, and disciple Guatemalan teachers -empowering them to be the hands and feet of Jesus in their communities. These dedicated educators are not only instructors, but also spiritual mentors, role models, and shepherds of the children and families we serve.


Beyond working with students, we reach hundreds of parents and caregivers each year through discipleship programs, workshops, home visits, and personalized support - helping families stay strong, stable, and connected.


What began in as simple Bible and English classes in an orphanage has grown into a comprehensive ministry equipping children with life-changing skills, nurturing their faith, and raising up local leaders to bring lasting transformation in their communities.


Cadaniño is led by Timothy and Sharie Martiny. Together with a dedicated team of local teachers and mentors, they continue to build a legacy of hope, faith, and impact that reaches generations.
