Fetisov, Max & Amanda

About

Two Callings. One Mission.

Amanda has been serving the orphaned and vulnerable in Ukraine since 2005. What began as ministry in orphanages and detention centers grew into a deeper calling. She watched the children she loved age out of the system and fall into the same cycles of addiction, poverty, and hopelessness as their parents. So she shifted her focus to those aged-out orphans, walking alongside them through bible studies, support programs, and transition homes as they navigate adult life with no family to lean on.

Max Fetisov founded True Hope Ministries in 1999 - at just 11 years old - after meeting an orphan for the first time and realizing she had never heard a Bible story. He kept coming back, brought friends, and what started as one boy visiting one orphanage became a ministry that now reaches thousands across Ukraine. In 2017, Max and Amanda married, uniting two decades of shared burden into one life and one mission for the gospel.

ON THE GROUND

Serving Ukraine's Most Vulnerable in the Middle of a War Zone.

When Russia invaded Ukraine, Max and Amanda didn't prioritize their own wellbeing. Max stayed in Krivoy Rog to continue serving orphans and supplying aid on the ground. Amanda evacuated 45 women and children to safety. Their True Hope Center, where orphans are housed and mentored - doubled as a bomb shelter. The war has made their impact greater than ever, as they continue to serve in the darkest of places.

The Project

True Hope Ministries.

Founded by Max Fetisov in Krivoy Rog, Ukraine, True Hope Ministries exists to break the cycle of abandonment in the lives of orphans, and to see them live and thrive independently with the knowledge that they are valuable and loved. Within two years of aging out of the orphanage, statistics show that 70-80% of Ukrainian orphans become involved in crime or prostitution, and 10% take their own lives. True Hope steps in before that happens, providing transitional apartments, mentorship, life skills training, basic needs like food, clothing, and medical supplies, and most importantly, the life-changing love of Jesus Christ.
